‘NCAA Football’ Franchise Officially In The Works For A Re-Boot

The NCAA football game was high-key one of the greatest video games to play growing up. Unfortunately, the game was shut down in 2014 due to NCAA rules and licensing nonsense and yada, yada, yada. But now video gamers everywhere can rejoice! The game is making a comeback.

The news comes as a source of excitement for many sports video game players. However, it’s kind of a tease. The Game won’t be ready to play for a while.

The EA Sports team is well aware of the demand from fans to bring back the ‘NCAA Football’ game

“As we look for the momentum that we’re building on in sports, it all starts with the passion of our fans and the opportunities of what they are interested in,” EA Sports vice president and general manager Daryl Holt said to ESPN. “I don’t think there’s a visit where I go outside wearing a piece of EA Sports-branded apparel that someone doesn’t go, ‘Hey, when is college football coming back?’

As for a timetable…we’re a ways away from any type of news there.

“We’ll just keep tabs on everything as it develops, and we’ll be ready,” Holt said. “That won’t be a problem for us. But it’s really, that’s not an answer for us right now to decide. We’re as much passengers as anyone else.

“So we make sure we deliver what our college football game players would want in a game. And that starts with just a very immersive experience, and there’s lots of things we can do to bring the true college game play and game day to the virtual world.”

So we’ll just have to keep waiting a little bit longer. The good news? We will have ‘NCAA Football’ back. It’s only a matter of time.
