Milwaukee Bucks Watch Parties Reportedly Caused A Huge Spike In COVID Numbers

The Milwaukee Bucks nation was in full force for the team’s amazing run through the NBA Playoffs which ended in their team hoisting the championship trophy in the end.

But the whole party may have come at a cost.

Milwaukee Health Commissioner Kirsten Johnson announced on Tuesday that the state of Wisconsin saw a spike of 400 percent in COVID cases since the Bucks fans began congregating outside of Fiserv Forum in July.

“Anytime people gather I think it’s important to recognize — anytime there’s a large gathering of people — we’re going to see the virus spread,” Johnson said.

Johnson didn’t exactly link the whole uptick in the championship party for the Bucks, but she definitely insinuated that the run played a role in all the positive tests in Wisconsin.

“That [more than 400 cases] number is from the entire month of July,” Johnson said. “So it’s not linked directly to one day, the Final game — it’s through the entire course of the month of July.”

It may have come at a cost, but the Milwaukee Bucks fans went all-out for their team’s championship run, and went absolutely insane when they beat the Suns in Game 6 to win it all.

Hopefully everyone gets vaxxed up so we can see more celebrations like the Milwaukee Bucks nation in the near future.
