New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas has had a contentious offseason with his organization.

It’s no secret that the Saints brass was hoping for him to get his ankle surgery done with right after the season so he’d be ready for the first game. But Thomas let the situation linger, and reportedly ghosted his team.

After some back-and-forths on social media, it was clear that Thomas and the Saints were at a disconnect

However, Saints head coach Sean Payton had a meeting with the disgruntled receiver recently, and they supposedly patched things over.

It appears that the Saints are making it abundantly clear that they’re not going to trade Michael Thomas before he makes a full recovery from his surgery.

So, if Thomas continues to have issues with how he’s being treated by the Saints, he’s likely going to have to prove that he’s still a top receiver who can get a haul on the market.

Michael Thomas will stay put for now, but don’t be surprised if his name comes up as a potential target for suitors mid-season.
