Bills Safety Micah Hyde Explains His MNF Tantrum Towards Reporter

Buffalo Bills safeties Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer were clearly dejected when they took the podium following the 14-10 loss to the Patriots on Monday night.

And when a reporter asked them a question about being “embarrassed” over their run defense, they both snapped.

While Jordan Poyer eventually dismissed the interaction, Micah Hyde made sure to have some more words with the journalist as he was walking off the podium following the presser.

“It’s respect. It’s all about respect,” he explained. “I come here every week and answer your questions truthfully, honestly. I appreciate you guys. Don’t do that. Don’t do that.”

Now that the Bills have shifted their focus to this week’s game, Micah Hyde opened up about his reaction to the question he clearly took offense to.

“Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of you guys, and I don’t see myself as above you guys,” Hyde said on Wednesday, according to the New York Post. “I really treat you guys as friends … The type of relationships I build with you guys aren’t just BS. I really mean it. I respect the s–t out of you guys.

“And then when something like that happens after a game, I expect more. And maybe I’m naive. Maybe I shouldn’t. But I hold you guys to a higher standard just like you guys hold me, and like I said it’s all about respect.”

He would go on to admit that he’s a “sore loser”.

Luckily for Micah  Hyde and the Bills, they’ll have another opportunity to prove themselves as contenders this weekend – when they’ll face off against Tom Bray and the Buccaneers.
