1990 Mark Jackson Basketball Card Featuring Notorious Murderers Surfaces on TikToK (VIDEO)

If you look at the 1990 NBA Hoops trading card set, it will comes as a surprise that a Mark Jackson card, valued at about $150 in PSA 10 mint condition, is ahead of two Michael Jordan cards for the most valuable in the set.

The reason for this is explained below in this TikTok video that surfaced recently.

The owner of this card states that this Mark Jackson 1990 basketball card is one of the most significant in his entire collection as the notorious Menendez brothers, known nationally for murdering their parents to collect their insurance money in 1989, can be seen sitting courtside in the background. Convicted in 1996, the brothers were sentenced to life in prison and remain incarcerated.

I have some cards from this set, but unfortunately did not come across this Mark Jackson card among them. There is another card in this set that has gained some notoriety for completely different reasons. For reasons unknown, this card of Winston Garland (father of the Cavs guard Darius Garland) was transformed into this “Shitty Winston” card which has occasionally been found on light poles randomly.

Found this posted on a pole in New York City. I have no idea what ...

There is simply no explanation for this anomaly. The first reported sighting was six years ago. This has basically become the Big Foot/Loch Ness Monster of altered basketball cards appearing randomly on light poles. Consider yourself extremely fortunate if you happen to come across a “Shitty Winston.”

What made Winston so “shitty?” The man had an indistinct career, but can be seen in Game 7 of the second round of the 1993 playoffs between the Rockets and Sonics simply walking onto the floor off the bench during the critical last moments of the game for no reason.

My guess is that whoever created this Shitty Winston card lost a lot of money on the Rockets in this game and decided to make Shitty the scapegoat so he plastered this card on New York City light poles to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the moment. Makes sense to me.
