Los Angeles Lakers Championship Parade on Hold

During these crazy times we won’t be able to do everything we’re normally used to, which means more postponements. The Los Angeles Lakers captured their 17th NBA title in franchise history on Sunday night and a large number of Lakers fans hurried out to the streets of Los Angeles to celebrate their team’s victory.

After the game, Anthony Davis paid tribute to Kobe Bryant, saying, “Ever since the tragedy, all we wanted to do is do it for him, and we didn’t let him down.”

Now it looks like that’s going to be the only celebration for the Lakers on the streets of Los Angeles for the next little bit as the team announced on Monday night that they’re holding off on their parade.

Who knows when the parade will be held, if ever. The next season has a better chance of starting before the parade ever happens. Strange times we’re living in.
