Liverpool Gets Game-Winner Deep Into Stoppage Time…From Their Goalkeeper

There are game-winners and then there are GAME-WINNERS. Liverpool got one of the latter kinds on Sunday courtesy of none other than their goalkeeper.

Alisson Becker delivered a game-winning header into the back of the net in the final minute of stoppage time to give Liverpool a season-saving 2-1 win over West Brom.

When we say instant highlight, this is it:

Gosh, I love sports!

With that goal from their keeper, Liverpool remains alive to finish in the top four of the English Premier League standings. Such a finish would enable them to qualify for the Champions League, making the three points from today’s win even more important.

And once again, the winning goal in the 95th minute came courtesy of the freaking goalkeeper!

As one can probably imagine, this was the first career EPL goal for Alisson. His postgame interview was filled with emotion and incredulation from the latest Liverpool hero about his own accomplishment.

Seems safe to say neither Allison nor any Liverpool fans will be forgetting this shining moment for a long, long time.
