Kyler Murray Breaks His Silence On The Reported Rift With The Cardinals

Kyler Murray has become the latest star quarterback drawing attention for reportedly being fed up with his organization.

Shortly after the Cardinals’ blowout loss to the Rams in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, Murray raised a lot of eyebrows when scraping any affiliation to the team from his Instagram page.

After seeing all the reports on his mindset heading into the offseason, Kyler Murray finally broke his silence on the matter on Monday.

“I play this game for the love of it, my teammates, everyone who has helped me get to this position that believed in me & to win championships,” Murray wrote on Twitter. “All of this nonsense is not what I’m about, never has been, never will be. Anyone who has ever stepped between those lines with me knows how hard I go.

“Love me or hate me but I’m going to continue to grow and get better.”

Contrary to Kyler Murray’s vague post, it has been reported that there was some animosity felt towards the organization following the playoff loss. Specifically, the reports indicated that Kyler was upset about being made out to be the “scapegoat” for the way the season ended.

“The odd vibe between the @AZCardinals and Kyler Murray is indeed alarming:
Murray is described as self-centered, immature and finger pointer, per sources.
Murray is frustrated with franchise and was embarrassed by playoff loss to Rams and thinks he’s been framed as the scapegoat,” NFL insider Chris Mortensen said on Twitter.

Despite all this random drama, I’d expect things to cool off between Kyler Murray and the Cardinals prior to the start of next season.
