Kris Bryant Posts Heartwarming Video With Newborn Baby

Kris Bryant may not have had his best year on the field, but off it, he’s doing just fine. Look at KB playing the role of dad here.

Kris Bryant and his wife Jessica announced the birth of their baby boy, Kyler Lee, on April 7th. It must have been hard for Kris to leave his family when the MLB decided to a late start to their season. Maybe that’s part of the reason why Bryant couldn’t get it going with his bat at all in the shortened season.

In the 60 game season Bryant slashed just .203/.293/.351. It was easily his worst year as a professional baseball player. To make matters worse, Bryant’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season. With the Cubs team in limbo right now, Theo Epstein has some tough decisions coming up for this offseason. He has vowed that next year’s roster won’t be the same old “status quo”, but what does that mean for Bryant?

Kris Bryant has made it clear that he loves Chicago, and would like to play in the city for a long time. With that being said, a change of scenery could be necessary for all parties. Bryant has been dealing with nagging injuries for the last couple of years. He hasn’t really looked like himself since his MVP season in 2016.

I believe in this guy, though. I’m sure he’ll bounce back. In the meantime, I hope he enjoys the offseason with his new family.
