Kevin Pillar Shares Update After Being Hit In The Face With A Fastball

New York Mets center fielder Kevin Pillar was the subject of a very scary incident on Monday night. In the top of the seventh inning, Pillar was struck directly in the face by a 94 MPH fastball from Atlanta Braves reliever Jacob Webb.

Pillar was receiving a lot of well wishes, and he took to social media to thank everyone who has reached out and shared their thoughts and prayers. Luckily, he says he’s doing just fine. He even made a joke about the RBI that came from the painful hit-by-pitch.

Pillar reportedly suffered multiple nasal fractures from the play, and will be seeing a specialist before determining his next course of action.

Hopefully we see Kevin Pillar back on the diamond soon, he sure seems like one tough dude.

That’s gotta be the hardest RBI he’s ever earned while playing baseball.
