Joe Exotic May Be Pardoned By President Trump Soon, And I’m Here For The Comment Sections

Since the Netflix documentary miniseries Tiger King swept the nation by storm, the show’s star and convicted felon, Joe Exotic, has been a media focal point for memes and beyond.

Exotic owned and operated the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park for two decades before his storied conviction in 2019 for 17 federal counts of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder for hire of his sworn enemy Carole Baskin of Big Cat Rescue. He’s currently serving a 22-year federal prison sentence at FMC Fort Worth in Texas.

In June 2020, Baskin seized control of Joe’s zoo property, which for him was the ultimate insult to injury. But Joe Exotic remains persistent, and insists his innocence (naturally) … to the point that he’s requested pardon by the President of the United States.

Since the pandemic and Tiger King‘s whirlwind across social media, back in April President Donald Trump had commented on the matter when asked by a reporter whether he would grant Exotic his pardon:

Jokingly (or so we thought), President Trump insinuated that he would “look into” the requested pardon brought further to light by his son, Don Jr.

But fast-forward to yesterday, where the President made a statement following his flight from Wisconsin in regards to an upcoming pardon…

In what’s being foreshadowed as a potential attempt to steal some attention from the Democratic National Convention that started on Monday, media speculation is whipping up the most we’ve heard about Joe Exotic since Tiger King‘s Netflix dominance.

Could President Trump actually be pardoning America’s most popular vivaciously crude conman? We will likely find out later today, but I highly recommend sticking close to a Twitter and/or Instagram feed if possible, because the comments sections should be an absolute gold rush.
