Jay Gruden Has A Message For Anyone Who Likes Tony Romo’s Broadcasting Work

Jay Gruden is having a rough go as a coach in the NFL.

His tenure as head coach of the Washington Football Team was up-and-down if we’re being generous, and he was recently fired as Jaguars offensive coordinator. While Gruden should probably focus on how he can get better at his job, he’d rather attack someone else.

Gruden was recently asked about Tony Romo’s announcing skills, and it’s dafe to say he was not impressed.

“He’s only right like 30% of the time,” Jay Gruden said. “Those are usually pretty obvious, I mean. Nobody talks about the times when he’s wrong, but when he’s right, ‘Holy cow, he’s a genius.’ Oh, come on, man. Sure, it’s a run. Nope, it’s a pass. Sorry, I was wrong.”

Sideaction’s Latest:

It kind of seems like Jay Gruden is plotting his move to the broadcast booth. Why not? He doesn’t exactly have the best reputation as a coach. I question Gruden’s tactic of coming at the one announcer who is pretty universally liked by fans, but he’s the kind of guy who tells you how he feels.

Gruden could probably be a fine broadcaster. He has this no BS mentality that would adore him to fans. It seems like a lot of former NFL players and coaches are trying to sneak their way into broadcasting. Jay Gruden seems to be the latest.
