Did NBA Ref Sean Wright intentionally injure Trae Young? Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young suffered a bone bruise to his right foot after he stepped on NBA referee Sean Wright’s Foot. The Atlanta Hawks star listed as questionable for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks at State Farm Arena on Tuesday, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.
The Hawks say Trae Young had an MRI taken earlier today at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex and it revealed a bone bruise to his right foot.
Young will be listed as questionable for tomorrow’s Eastern Conference Finals Game 4.

The ref ain't clear of fault. He was suppose to be more towards the corner according to the officials handbook. Freak accident for sure, but Sean Wright isn't exempt from criticism for his awful positioning.

You hate to see a player get hurt on a freak accident, but it happens.
Was the ref out of position? Possibly.
