Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet was on the bench when a little scuffle took place during their game against the Lakers. VanVleet went out on the court to get some of his guys out of trouble. Solid leader move, right? Guess not.
VanVleet was suspended for his role in the altercation.

I get it, the NBA doesn’t want players leaving the bench…but this ain’t it. Every camera shot shows that Fred VanVleet had good intentions.

He even put his mask on before entering the court to get his guys away from trouble.
I will say I do very much appreciate Fred VanVleet pausing for a moment to put on his mask before jumping onto the court to break up the scrum pic.twitter.com/nibpy2kq6I

The NBA is getting softer and softer by the day. Hopefully, they take away this bogus suspension.
Fred VanVleet doesn’t deserve that.
