Fernando Tatis Jr’s Motorcycle Accident In Question Following Injury News

The San Diego Padres got delivered a massive blow on Monday after it was announced that Fernando Tatis Jr. would possibly miss the first three months of the season with a fractured wrist. He says the injury occurred during the offseason, but wasn’t specific on when.

“I didn’t feel that much at the time,” Tatis said Monday to ESPN. “It felt like when you jam your wrist when you slide into second base. I was swinging my axe in my ranch. I was feeling good and I feel like it caught us by surprise.”

While it wasn’t announced how Fernando Tatis Jr. fractured his wrist, many insiders were pointing to a December motorcycle accident as a potential cause.

Fernando Tatis Jr. would go on to say how bad he feels that he won’t be available for his teammates and the San Diego fans for the foreseeable future.

“It’s bad. It’s terrible,” Tatis said. “I feel like everyone is disappointed, especially me. We have a pretty good chance as a team. I want to be out there for my teammates and the fans.”

It’s unclear if Fernando Tatis Jr. or the Padres brass will be pressed on the motorcycle accident’s potential cause of the star shortstop’s injury. But we’ll continue to track this story for more details.
