Shortly after the Jusuf Nurkic fan interaction went viral, a nearby security guard took to social media to share his side of the story.

Now, some more information about the Jusuf Nurkic incident has been revealed.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, the fan was shouting things about Nurkic’s mom and grandma before the incident.
“The fan who Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic confronted in Indiana allegedly shouted “your mom is trash” and said his “grandma’s a b**tch,” league sources tell @YahooSports Nurkic’s grandma passed away of COVID-19 in 2020,” he wrote on Twitter.

This week, it was announced by the NBA that Jusuf Nurkic was being fined $40K for tossing the fan’s phone away.
But if all this is true about the chirping crossing the line, it’s hard to really knock Nurkic for the confrontation — and it might even be worth commending the big man for keeping his hands off the punk.
For now, Jusuf Nurkic still hasn’t spoken on the incident. But we’ll wait to see if any more details arise.
