Family of Girl Injured in Britt Reid Car Crash Gives Update

Looks as if things are getting better day by day. The 5-year-old girl who was injured in a car crash that involved former Kansas City Chiefs outside linebackers coach Britt Reid is “getting a little better each day,” according to a GoFundMe update. Ariel Young was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following the Feb. 4th crash.

Young woke up from a coma Feb. 15, and “still has a long road to recovery,” according to a new post on a GoFundMe set up for Young and her family.

“Ariel remains in the hospital, she is getting a little better each day but she still has a long road to recovery. Britt Reid is out everyday living his normal life while she cannot, please don’t let her story be forgotten. Court will take a long time and we don’t know what will be the outcome of it all. So please keep sharing her story and praying for her and the family. Thank you.”

It was the first update posted to Young’s GoFundMe page in 11 days.

A few days following the Chiefs Super Bowl loss, it was revealed the Chiefs put Reid on leave, and  allowed his contract to expire.
