Donovan Mitchell Blasts Officiating After Loss: ‘We Continually Get Screwed’

Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell was not happy after the team’s loss to the 76ers on Wednesday night. The normally mild-tempered Mitchell was ejected late in the OT loss when he thought he was fouled while shooting a three. He was also called for a controversial offensive foul earlier in the game.

After being ejected, Mitchell then chucked a cooler, hitting a security guard on his way into the tunnel.

During his press conference, Donovan Mitchell had some choice words for the officiating. Among other things, Mitchell thinks the game was completely stolen from the Jazz by the refs.

I know, the refs were pretty bad in the game, but Donovan Mitchell sounds kind of like a baby here. The Utah Jazz had plenty of opportunities to win the game, and they couldn’t quite finish. Also, I’m not really sure about the whole ‘we continually get screwed’ assertion.

Even after tonight’s loss, the Utah Jazz still hold the league’s best record at 27-9. Donovan Mitchell needs to take a deep breath. Tough losses happen in the league, time to move on.
