Deshaun Watson Believed To Be On Trading Block Amid Accusations

The dynamic of Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson’s offseason has completely changed. First, Watson has reportedly demanded to be traded from the team. But now he’ll be dealing with something much more serious.

Watson has been accused of sexual assault by multiple different women.

While Deshaun Watson will have his hands full with an impending lawsuit, the Houston Texans have a decision to make. Do they trade the disgruntled quarterback?

At first, the Texans’ front office was adamant that Deshaun would be their QB next season despite his demands.

However, it seems like there is still a belief that Deshaun Watson will be dealt at some point. Houston Texans writer John McClain originally shared his belief that Watson would not be traded. Now, he’s changing his tune.

“The Texans haven’t said they’re not trading Watson since January. I expect him to be traded.” McClain said on Twitter.

I wonder what the new allegations will mean for Deshaun Watson’s trade value (if anything). It certainly is worth noting that Watson would still have a bunch of potential suitors even though teams have started to map out their plans for QB next season.

I could still see the 49ers, Bears, Patriots, Dolphins, or Washington making a push for Deshaun Watson if he becomes available via trade. We’ll wait and see how this situation plays out.
