Michael Jordan Shares Luc Longley Story: ‘He May Not Like This’

Luc Longley has been in the news lately, which is kind of random. Longley first found his way back to the internet last week when it was revealed why he wasn’t featured very much in the Last Dance documentary. Apparently the producers were unable to secure an interview with the Australian big man, so he ended up not being heavily featured in the final product.

This ended up being one of Jordan’s major regrets about the documentary.

I guess Jordan didn’t feel that bad about Longley’s exclusion. Jordan recently shared a story about Luc, once again putting him back in the news.

““He may not like this story.

In 1998 we were playing the Utah Jazz. The first quarter ends. Luc has 12 points, 4 blocks and 4 rebounds.

I go to Luc and say, ‘That’s how you f*cking play, man. You do that, we dominate!’

We’re up by 16.

At the end of the game, Luc had 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

We were winning by 16, we lose by 15.

And I looked at Luc and I said, ‘You know what Luc, that is the last time I’m going to give you a compliment in the middle of the game.’””

Michael should no better than complimenting someone during a game.

That doesn’t sound like Michael at at all.

I don’t feel too bad for Luc though, had he been on another team, chances are no one would even remember his name…
