Damian Lillard Reportedly Willing To Forego Game Checks If He Demands A Trade From Portland

Here we go again with some more Damian Lillard reports.

While Lillard has yet to say that he would like to be traded away from the Portland Trail Blazers, a new report is indicating that he could be willing to lose money if he’s not playing for a contender next season.

Damian Lillard has remained loyal to the Trail Blazers, but he has also acknowledged that he no interest in playing for a non-contender, and he knows Portland cannot win a championship as they are currently assembled.

“If you look at our team as it is, I don’t think you can say this is a championship team with a new coach,” Lillard said last Friday when asked if he was demanding a trade.

Damian Lillard has already accumulated a ton of money over his NBA career, and it would appear that he’s content on getting his way on to a real championship-caliber team.

Obviously, Lillard would like that team to be the Portland Trail Blazers. He has already given so much to that franchise, and the city of Portland. But if the team’s front office continues to fail at properly building around his talents, he might have to change his mentality.

For now, Damian Lillard isn’t going anywhere. But that could be changing very soon.
