Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Chase Claypool has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately.
Prior to last week’s game, Claypool was trending for saying that he thinks his team should be playing music during practice to loosen up a bit – which would help them get out of their rut.
Mike Tomlin and other teammates slammed Chase Claypool over the suggestion.

During the Thursday Night Football game against the Vikings, Chase Claypool added to his boneheaded stigma by making a clueless mistake late in the game.
With the Steelers trying to tie the game up late, Claypool caught a first down over the middle. As teammates rushed to the line to get a spike to save clock, Chase was still celebrating the catch.
The action likely costed Pittsburgh at leas five seconds or so.

After the Steelers ran out of time on their potential game-tying drive, Chase Claypool turned into the scapegoat all over social media.

Claypool is so immature man. Getting near end of year 2. It’s the beginning of the game and you’re screwing your team over with selfish decisions.

Chase Claypool would finish the game as the leading receiver for the Steelers, catching eight passes for 93 yards. But all anyone will really remember from the game was the untimely celebration.
It looked like Pittsburgh was on the verge on getting blown out, with the team being down by 29 point in the third quarter. But thanks to an offensive revival – along with some brutal mistakes from Minnesota – the Steelers had a real shot to take the game to OT.
I’m sure Mike Tomlin will have a little talk with Chase Claypool, if he hasn’t done so already.
