CC Sabathia’s Wife Amber Announces New Career as Baseball Agent

Move over CC, there’s a new sports person in the family. Amber Sabathia has been has been a baseball wife for almost 20 years, and now with her husband CC Sabathia recently retired, she’s starting the next chapter of her life. Amber Sabathia announced on Monday that she’s joined CAA Sports as their newest baseball agent.

Amber explained on Instagram why she feels like becoming a sports agent is the right move for her, and why she believes she’ll succeed:

“Having a front row seat alongside CC’s career throughout the past two decades provided me with critical insight and experience in business, marketing, and philanthropy. I recognize my unique ability to support, advise, and lead all facets of the process with players and their families. After considering my options, I know through the support of the team at CAA Sports, I will be able to fulfill my potential and help shape the next generation of great athletes.”

CC said on Twitter that he’s moving into “full-time dad mode” in order to support his wife:

I’ve dedicated my whole life to the game of baseball. Nobody has been more supportive and influential than @ambersabathia. So proud of this next chapter for you. The couple married in 2003 and  have four children together.
