Barcelona Catching Flak For Touting Social Media Record After Messi Paid Tribute To Diego Maradona

Barcelona just had to make a nice moment about them, didn’t they?

Barcelona’s Twitter account posted a video of Lionel Messi’s tribute to Diego Maradona, where he took off his Barcelona jersey, and had a Maradona #10 Newell Old Boys shirt underneath. Messi then pointed up to the sky. It was an emotional moment, and this video was seen around the world. The video even landed Barcelona a social media record. They seemed pretty excited about that.

The post has been deleted after many fans came after Barcelona for their poor taste in using a legend’s death for their own benefit.

Messi picked up a yellow card for his tribute to Maradona. Even the ref who handed out the card admitted it wasn’t easy, but that he was just doing his job.
