Steve Nash Gets Trashed Following The Nets’ Game Two Loss To Boston

Steve Nash is not a very popular guy in Brooklyn right now.

After going down 1-0 in the series against the Celtics, the Nets fell flat down the stretch, yet again, in Game Two against Boston on Wednesday night.

After both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant had uncharacteristically-inefficient nights shooting, the Nets fell to the Celtics 114-107 — taking the dreaded 0-2 deficit in the series.

After the collapse, Steve Nash took the brunt of the blame all over social media.

For Steve Nash, he’s undoubtedly hoping that the addition of Ben Simmons can light a fire into the team. But even after ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski insinuated that he could be back on the floor for Game Four, Nash claimed they still don’t have a target date for the point guard.

“I don’t think we’re targeting any game. I think we’re trying to see how he develops, how he progresses,” Nash told reporters. “That’s something that, with the recent history since the trade, has not been straightforward. So while it’s exciting to see him on the floor and see him make progress, I don’t think any of us are saying it’s imminent.”

Regardless of whether or not Ben Simmons returns, Steve Nash has to get Brooklyn right, and fast, or he could wind up being the scapegoat for the entire offseason.
