Pelicans Go Viral For Completely Disrespecting Chris Paul

When the Suns lost Devin Booker to injury, the Pelicans have made one thing very clear: they are not scared of coming after future Hall of Famer Chris Paul.

After barely letting Game Three slip out of their grasp, the Pelicans came after the Suns — and specifically Paul — early and often in Game Four.

During the game, Pelicans star Brandon Ingram came face-to-face with Chris Paul, forcing members of both teams to break them up before they came to blows.

The Pelicans’ rookies got in on the Chris Paul mental game, as well.

When falling under the net, Herbert Jones refused Paul’s help to get back to his feet, instead waiting for one of his teammates to come get him instead.

In the end, it was undrafted rookie point guard Jose Alvarado who really got the bulk of the Chris Paul smoke.

After proving to be an irritant for CP3 all game long, Alvarado clinched the game in the fourth quarter by forcing two turnovers on Paul — the last one being an impressive come-from-behind steal.

After beating Chris Paul’s Suns in Game Four, the Pelicans have somehow knotted the series up at two games apiece before their trip to Phoenix.

Sure, the Suns are still expected to win the physical series with a Pelicans team that finished the regular season 10 games under .500.

But at the end of the day, the young pelicans are showing they won’t be intimidated by anyone. At at this point, they’re playing like a team with absolutely nothing to lose.

It’s fun to watch.
