A little background on the future star. Chet Holmgren is the son of Dave Holmgren, a former college basketball player who played for the University of Minnesota. Holmgren is a unique prospect who was tagged as the next big thing in the world of basketball.   Holmgren was ranked as the number one of the players in the 2021 class. Chet won the National High School Player of the Year, Minnesota Mr Basketball, McDonald’s All-American, Jordan Brand Classic, FIBA Under-19 World Cup Most Valuable Player, all in 2021.
