Denver Nuggets guard Austin Rivers was the subject of a highly controversial play on Wednesday night.
During the Nuggets game against the Pacers, Rivers was getting guarded tightly by Lance Stephenson. And when swing his arms around to find space, Stephenson took a flop, acting like he had just caught an elbow.
Rivers was immediately ejected following the play, sending social media into a frenzy.
Austin Rivers has been ejected for this. Probably deserves a fine and suspension as well. Uncalled for.

Austin Rivers quickly took to social media to slam the refs following the ejection.
“Never in my life have I been thrown out of Game for something so ridiculous. Seriously…never. League gotta look at this one,” he said on Twitter.

Luckily for the Nuggets, they were still able to defeat the Pacers without Austin Rivers’ services for the end of the game — winning 125-118.
Kevin Durant also came to the aid of Rivers following the ridiculous ejection.
This is embarrassing https://t.co/eGA8epyrSj

Hopefully Austin Rivers will get an apology from the NBA after this phantom foul could resulted in him watching the end of the game from the locker room on Tuesday night.
