Look: Scottie Scheffler Disrespects The Hell Out Of Cam Smith Amid LIV Golf Rumors

Scottie Scheffler — the world #1 PGA player — is clearly fed up with all the guys leaving for the Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that the #2 ranked player, Cam Smith, was likely the next guy out the PGA door. And during the first round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship today, Scheffler made it known how he feels about Smith and his decision.

During their pairing, Scottie Scheffler missed a disappointing putt, and in a sign of disrespect, decided to walk straight through Cam Smith’s putting line on his way to the next hole.

While Cam Smith has still not confirmed that he was leaving for LIV Golf, the reports are that he already has a deal for $100 Million with the PGA rival, and will begin competing with LIV next month.

“My goal here is to win the FedEx Cup playoffs,” he said during his media availability on Tuesday. “That’s all I’m here for. I have no comment on that.”

Before the tournament, Scottie Scheffler said it was ‘frustrating’ to see so many players leaving for LIV Golf, and made it clear that he thought the lawsuits those players filed against the PGA were ridiculous.

“I’m definitely curious to see what’s going to happen,” Scheffler said via ESPN. “It’s one of those deals where those guys kind of made their decision to go join another tour and they broke the rules and regulations of our tour and now they’re trying to sue us, which is definitely a bit frustrating. I heard that was going to happen and I know some guys aren’t surprised to see it, but I definitely am surprised to see some guys now suing us.”

Still, Scottie Scheffler is trying to maintain his own preparation without paying too much attention to Cam Smith or the other LIV guys.

“If they win, come out here and play, I mean, that’s something that’s up to the courts,” Scheffler said. “I can’t control what’s going to happen in a court case. Definitely interested, but at the end of the day it has no effect on my preparation for the week.”
