Video: Phil Mickelson Gets Rattled After Being Heckled ‘Do It For The Saudi Royal Family’

Phil Mickelson appears to be content with his move to LIV Golf, but after being among the most popular athletes in the world, the perception around him has certainly taken a turn for the worse.

Mickelson has been heavily criticized for joining a Saudi-backed league, as well as reprimanded for comments made about the move earlier in the year.

This week, a heckler trolled Phil Mickelson at a LIV Golf event by shouting ‘do it for the Saudi royal family’ as he was about to tee off.

The lefty had to back up and re-group after hearing the chirp.

Since joining LIV Golf, Phil Mickelson’s play on the course has been anything but impressive.

As golf writer Dan Rapaport pointed out on Twitter, Mickelson is a combined +40 since making the leap to LIV Golf.

It’s pretty clear the Phil Mickelson’s best days of golf are behind him. But at least he’ll be going out with a whole lot of money… I guess.
