Social Media Reacts After Duke Players Leave Before The Handshake

The North Carolina Tar Heels sent Coach Krzyzewski into an early retirement last night but it was the Duke players who left the court early without shaking hands.

Social media had plenty to say after Blue Devil players didn’t even stay to shake the hands of their rival Tar Heels following their loss in the Final Four match up Saturday night.

While most fans were not impressed with the Duke’s players actions, some Blue Devil fans were quick to throw shade at other parts of the game, primarily the reffing.

Tar Heel fans no doubt got the last laugh.

As a die-hard tarheel fan from as long as I can remember this has to be the lowest ever move in the Duke North Carolina rivalry like this is probably worse than one the Pistons didn’t shake the Chicago Bulls his hand after that playoff series and the Michigan head coach there

Wow Duke players walk off the court without shaking hands. Classless and a disgrace to the sport. Really would’ve expected more from a true “leader of men” like Coach K

Clearly social media had their own thoughts about it all and poking fun at the expense of Duke’s coach Mike Krzyzewski.

While many fans took to social media to comment on the team’s actions, UNC fans took to Chapel Hill to celebrate in style.
