Kamaru Usman’s Live Betting Line After Round 4 Shows Just How Wild Leon Edwards’ Upset Win Was

We’re still not over how the Kamaru Usman-Leon Edwards fight ended last night.

After the fourth round concluded, it appeared to be another coasting victory for the champ, but then craziness ensued.

Finally putting some pressure on Kamaru Usman, Leon Edwards came forward against the champ for one of the first times all fight with about a minute remaining until the final bell.

He then connected with a vicious leg kick that knocked Usman out cold.

Check out the historic moment below:

Following the fourth round, Kamaru Usman was dominating Leon Edwards by such a wide margin that he was listed as a -10000 favorite heading into the fifth and final round, per BetMGM.

Like most of us watching the fight, the broadcasters had already deemed Kamaru Usman the winner, calling it a ‘moral victory’ for Leon Edwards that he was even able to go the distance with the welterweight champ. And just as they were making their assertion, Edwards connected with the leg-kick KO.

After the fight, UFC president Dana White put it best when explaining just how wild it was that Leon Edwards was able to somehow pull off the victory in the final minute.

“That’s how crazy the sport is,” White said. “It’s what makes this sport the greatest sport in the world. You can sit through four rounds and four minutes and that can happen in a fight. Anything is possible in this sport.”

White would go on to say that a trilogy fight between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards would probably be next for both men, adding that he would like to make the bout happen in Edwards’ home country, England.

Still, Leon Edwards knows he’s going to have to fight a much cleaner fight for five rounds in order to pull off another upset against Kamaru Usman.

“Even though that was one of my worst performances, it is what it is,” Edwards said. “I got a clean finish. … Even on my worst night, I beat the best pound-for-pound.”
