PGA golfer Cameron Smith has had quite the eventful week.
Being as he’s from Australia, he hasn’t had the opportunity to see his mom and sister in two years due to COVID restrictions. But they made their reunion this week, and were there to see Smith win the Players Championship this weekend.
After fending off several competitors to win the rain-delayed tournament on Monday afternoon, Cameron Smith described how seeing his family for the first time in so long was the main thing on his mind this week.
“My main priority was to hang out with them, and golf was second for these few weeks,” Smith said after the round.
Win for Cameron Smith.

Cameron Smith showcased elite putting skill and incredible shot-making en route to the biggest win of his short PGA career.
At the end of the tournament, he won the tournament by just one stroke, ahead of India’s Anibarn Lahiri.
Going forward, it’s clear that the future is bright for Cameron Smith. But I’m sure he’s even more excited that he can finally spend time with his family after their two years apart.
