Deion Sanders pulled off some kind of magic on Wednesday morning.
On Signing Day, top receiver and defensive back in the country, Travis Hunter, shockingly announced he was de-committing from Florida State to join forces with Deion at Jackson State.

Shortly after Travis Hunter made his announcement, many on social media were asking the same question: how the hell did Deion Sanders pull this off?

Deion Sanders flipping Travis Hunter, the nation's No. 1 recruit (and a CB no less) from his alma mater, FSU to join him at an HBCU, Jackson State would unquestionably become the biggest signing day stunner in my 20-plus years of covering this stuff.

Deion Sanders did it. Flipped the #1 recruit in the country from FSU (who passed over him) to Jackson State.
Best recruiting job….ever. @DeionSanders @21standprime https://t.co/udVeWyTRFL

Travis Hunter will obviously be getting tutelage from one of the best defensive backs of all-time in Deion Sanders. And he has plans to play on both sides of the ball moving forward.
“I feel like I’m the best guy in the class,” Hunter says. “I feel like I can do anything you need me to do. I can impact a team in multiple ways, by playing offense and defense.
“I think I’ll be the best to ever do it, the best to play two ways.”
Travis Hunter should be able to dominate without competing against power-five opponents. And if it wasn’t already clear, Deion Sanders has now officially taken the Jackson State program to new heights.
