Christian Pulisic Drawing Heavy Criticism From Fans After Another Rough Performance

For now, it appears that Chelsea has no plans to sell off American star Christian Pulisic. But that could change soon if he fails to improve on some less than stellar preseason performances.

During the UEFA Super Cup game against Villareal, Pulisic got the chance to play following an injury to Hakim Ziyech.

However, as Villareal has surprisingly used a strong second half to force extra time, many fans are calling out another lackluster performance for Christian Pulisic.

Christian Pulisic recently revealed that he wasn’t the biggest fan of being moved from left wing to right wing.

“It’s maybe not my favorite position in the world,” Pulisic told Insider.

Nonetheless, Pulisic has maintained that he’d like to be on the field. So if playing a new position is what it takes, he’s ok to give it a go.

“It’s something that I think I’m capable of doing, something that I know that if I need to help the team with at times, I can.

“I’m always gonna kick in. I want to be on the field playing. That’s the main thing for sure. That’s where I want to be.”

Christian Pulisic’s playing time will also be compromised by Chelsea’s signing Romelu Lukaku to their attack. Which means the young American could see his minutes drop significantly going forward.

For now, it appears that Chelsea will continue to give Pulisic a chance to prove his worth. But if he continues with unimpressive play, a change could be coming.
