Zach LaVine Trolls Himself After Entering COVID Protocol Prior To The Tokyo Olympics

Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine was getting hyped up to represent Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics this Summer. But like many, his plans may have been foiled by COVID.

It was announced early Monday morning that LaVine was entering health and safety protocols, and would not be joining Team USA in Tokyo to begin the tournament.

Zach LaVine had recently posted an Instagram, where he shared his excitement ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. But after he received word that he would have to hang back for now, LaVine had the perfect response.

“Off to Tokyo!” Zach LaVine originally wrote on his Instagram picture. After the tough news dropped, LaVine added an “or not” comment.

During the exhibition games, LaVine appeared to be a welcomed addition to Team USA, showcasing his shot-making ability along with some of his classic dunks.

While Zach LaVine sorts out his latest COVID debacle (he missed significant time at the end of the NBA season after testing positive for the virus), we will await to hear any news on when, or if, he will return to Team USA.
