Griner is vocally out lesbian which also puts her at serious risk in Putin’s harsh anti-gay Russia.
Praying for Brittney Griner’s safety and her rights. An incredibly scary situation.
Heartbreaking BG has been in there almost a month and we’re just now really finding out. We need to get her home.

Note to anyone who travels abroad
NEVER take anything that could remotely resemble contraband or drugs
Don’t be clever Many countries don’t have any leeway on such things and their punishments are normally much harsher
Having traveled broadly in Russia this is not good
