Washington’s NFL Team Hires Julie Donaldson As Highest Ranking Female Executive

Amid startling and disturbing allegations that surfaced last week, Washington’s NFL team has seemingly made a step in the right direction to “change the culture”  of the organization with the hire of Julie Donaldson to oversee all of the team’s broadcasts. With the hire, Donaldson becomes the highest ranking female executive within the organization.

Donaldson will lead the radio the radio crew after longtime voice of the team, Larry Michael, stepped down after being named in the sexual harassment allegations.

According to Westwood One, Donaldson will be the first female member of a NFL team’s radio broadcast booth. She previously spent 10 years at NBC Sports Washington as part of the pre- and post-game shows for the team.

The hiring comes after owner Dan Snyder “vowed to change the culture” of the team after the damning allegations surfaced in a Washington Post report.
