Vanessa Bryant Is Suing The LA County Sheriff And His Department Over Leaked Photos

Vanessa Bryant is suing the L.A. County Sheriff and his department, claiming they caused her severe emotional distress. Multiple deputies allegedly took cell phone photos of Kobe and Gigi Bryant’s bodies at the sight of the helicopter crash. The photos were reportedly not part of the case. Rather, they were reportedly for the gratification of the no fewer than eight deputies.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the sheriff’s deputies pulled out their personal cell phones and took photos of the dead children, parents, and coaches. The lawsuit also alleges that the photos were a topic of conversation within the sheriff’s department. The deputies supposedly showed their colleagues the pictures, without having any investigative purpose. But wait, there’s more. Vanessa Bryant is claiming that the deputies talked about the photos at a bar. Plot twist, the bartender blew the whistle…by calling the L.A. County sheriff’s department.

Vanessa Bryant claims in the lawsuit that sheriff Villanueva tried to cover it all up by going to the Sheriff’s substation that responded to the crash. The suit goes on to claim that Villanueva’s conversation was solely for the destruction of evidence. I can only imagine how Vanessa Bryant feels. Just think about hearing there were pictures of your dead daughter and husband circulating. Lord only knows the stress that this situation has caused Vanessa and the Bryant family. If true, this is a pretty bad look for the L.A. County Sheriff’s department. Things like this are simply not bar or “locker room” talk. I am anxious to see what comes from Vanessa’s lawsuit.
