Scottie Pippen Didn’t Show For NBA All-Star Weekend Because He Was Rumored to be Scared of Running Into Michael Jordan

Here’s a fun Scottie Pippen rumor.

The Bulls landed one of the greatest small forwards of all time when they acquired Scottie Pippen from the Seattle SuperSonics just weeks after the 1987 NBA Draft. Pippen would go on to become one of the most decorated and versatile players in the history of the game.

Last weekend the NBA celebrated the top 75 players, and Scottie was one of them.

Michael Jordan was as well, and MJ stole the show at the ceremony. Scottie was relegated to a Zoom appearance, where he performed a strange wave to the crowd.

Many wondered where the hell was Scottie? Why didn’t he show up.

The rumor started on the net that Scottie was absent because he didn’t want any smoke.

See the tweet that started the rumor below:

Last time we checked Lord Zito isn’t an NBA reporter, or a Scottie Pippen inside source.

But you know how people run with a story that fits the narrative. Of course Scottie would have been uncomfortable if he ran into MJ.

He’s spent the last year ripping Jordan over the Last Dance documentary. Scottie also called Phil Jackson a racist, so yea, probably wise for Scottie not to show.

Who needed Robin there anyway when Batman was front and center.

Sorry Scottie, no one missed you.
