NFL Scouts Raise ‘Concerns’ Over Kadarius Toney’s Rap Career

NFL scouts get paid to find the top talent, but sometimes they look at off the field activities which can often hinder one’s draft value. Like wide receiver Kadarius Toney for instance, away from the field he’s a rapper. Which some are not too keen on. Jon Ledyard of Pewter Report tweeted a screenshot from The Athletic  pointing out that some scouts wonder if Toney, who raps under the name “Yung Joka,” is more into music than football.

See below:

Toney released a Yung Joka album “SplitWorld” on Jan. 1, 2020. Toney went on to have the most productive season of his Florida career that fall, catching 70 passes for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns.

He put out a five-song EP, “Warrior 2” on New Year’s Day.

Scouts should not focus on how a player plays,  not what he does with his free time, assuming it’s not criminal.
