Mexican Baseball League Hitter Wildly Attacked Pitcher With Bat, Helmet After Being Beaned

A wild scene ensued after Mexican Baseball League hitter Gabriel Gutierrez was hit by a fastball on Wednesday night.

Gutierrez charged the mound, and ended up chucking his bat and helmet at Rieleros pitcher Brandon Quintero. After that, both benches cleared, and members of both teams were trying to get some shots in.

At one point, it looked like Gabriel Gutierrez and both of the teams were ready to settle down, and then the brawl picked back up again.

The local TV station finally opted to take the broadcast to commercial, and the game would resume later.

Luckily, Gabriel Gutierrez was not able to hit the pitcher with his bat or helmet. If he did, we might have seen some serious damage. Just be a man and go at the guy with your fists …

I’m sure the Mexican Baseball League will be handing down some suspensions.
