Marvel Movie Star Chadwick Boseman’s High School Is Creating A Scholarship In His Memory

In a year with so much death, Chadwick Boseman’s passing was especially painful. Death at 43 is tough no matter the cause, but colon cancer absolutely sucks. All cancer sucks. Screw cancer. The A-list actor’s death was a surprise. Now his former high school will be initiating a scholarship in the memory of the beloved Chadwick Boseman.

Walter Mayfield, principal at T. L. Hanna High School in South Carolina where the actor attended, tells TMZ … they’re forming the Chadwick Boseman Memorial Scholarship for a yearly honor to a deserving student.
Mayfield says the goal is to create a sustainable scholarship for years to come, and the school is aiming to raise $100k toward that end. The principal says a bunch of people have already reached out about contributing in Chadwick’s honor — without even publicizing the idea yet — so they’re off to a good start. -TMZ Sports
So why was Boseman’s death so painful? In a year with so much black death, losing an actor who did so much for the black community is a gut punch. Wakanda forever. Boseman’s memory will be eternal, to people of all races and religions. As a black man, I was honored to see such a talented young man take on the role of King T’Challa in the Black Panther. I even plan to get a tattoo of the emblem in Boseman’s memory. The scholarship is a fantastic way to remember such a great leader and man. I am confident that it will be very selective and will only go to people who are in real need. I love you, Chadwick Boseman. You will never be forgotten. Wakanda Forever.
