MLB free agency is heating up, which means pitching superstar starting pitcher Trevor Bauer may be finding his new home very soon. Bauer is at the top of pretty much everyone’s wish list, but only a few teams will be poised to make a run at Bauer’s services as the top starter on the free agent market. Big spending teams like the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers currently appear to be sitting this one out, leaving the Los Angeles Angels near the top of the list of potential suitors.
Bauer will make some serious dough, and could even rival the massive $324 Million contract Gerrit Cole signed with the Yankees last offseason. That takes most teams out of the running for Bauer, being as COVID-19 has forced many organizations to cut costs.
Still, someone will pay Trevor Bauer the money he deserves, and that someone may very well be the Los Angeles Angels. According to a report by MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the team is setting its sights on Bauer after making big splashes in free agency the past few offseasons.
Folks are convince the #LAAngels are determined to add a top of the rotation starter. Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer is the obvious option, and the LA/UCLA product may relish a homecoming. The top trade options may be Sonny Gray and Blake Snell; the list of No. 1 guys is short.

Trevor Bauer joining the Los Angeles Angels makes sense on many different levels. The team has the money, they’re trying to contend and they desperately need starting pitching. Oh, and Trevor Bauer has ties to the L.A. area.
This could be a slam dunk for the Angels. They have had Mike Trout, the best player in baseball, for too long without making a run in October. A move for Trevor Bauer would likely turn them from pretenders into contenders. Also, Bauer’s swag would work well in Los Angeles.
MLB fans have been craving to see Mike Trout make a run at a World Series. The Angels got him help with Anthony Rendon last season, now a move for Trevor Bauer would be the next step in vaulting them to the top of MLB standings. Make it happen, Angels.
