Leonard Fournette Trolls Jacksonville Jaguars Ahead Of Super Bowl LV

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette has had a long road to Super Bowl LV.

Once considered one of the top running backs in the game, Fournette got humbled. He was released by the Jaguars just 13 days before the team’s Week 1 game against the Colts.

“When we put the 80-man roster [together], we put the best 80 guys we felt [we had],” general manager Dave Caldwell said at the time.

Well, a guy that was deemed to be outside the best 80 players on the worst team in football is now headed to the Super Bowl. He made sure to throw a dig at the Jaguars before the big game.

“I remember,” Fournette wrote on his Twitter along with a picture of the original team tweet announcing his release.

While Leonard Fournette was going from a bad team to a contender, he also had to leave his ego at the door upon arrival in Tampa. He shared a backfield with Ronald Jones all season, and is usually used as the second option of the two.

On the year, Fournette had just 97 rushes for 367 yards and 6 TDs. However, he has come alive in the playoffs. The Bucs have been featuring the veteran back more and more since the postseason began. He has rushed for over 50 yards in each of the team’s three playoff games and has found the endzone in all three games.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a healthy dose of Leonard Fournette in Super Bowl LV.
