John Wall Was Playing Spades While Being Interviewed On Live TV

Many of you may not know that Wizards point guard John Wall is a big-time Dallas Cowboys fan. On Monday night he joined ESPN ahead of the Cowboys’ brutal loss to the Cardinals to talk some football. However, Wall was more focused on a game of cards. As disrespectful as that sounds, you have to see it to believe it.

John Wall Plays A Game Of Spades While Being Interviewed On Live TV

John Wall was so distracted by his card game he had to politely ask host Field Yates to repeat one of his questions. How do I know he was playing Spades, you ask? Good question. Technically I don’t, however, Wall looked at his hand, and then you could hear him say the number four. This is most likely John Wall bidding on how many tricks he thinks he will be able to take. If you are unfamiliar with the game of spades, that’s how the game begins. Your guess is as good as mine, but all signs point to spades.

I think John Wall knew he had been caught red-handed as he smiled right into the camera with his cards very visible. I mean, he wasn’t trying very hard to hide them. Nevertheless, Wall did actually talk a little bit about football. The 5-time NBA All-Star said it will be tough without Dak Prescott at quarterback, but that he believes the Cowboys have all the right pieces. He mentioned Amari Cooper, Ezekiel Elliot, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup. That is quite the arsenal of offensive weapons, even with Andy Dalton at quarterback.

I think the biggest story here is who even knew John Wall was a Cowboys fan? Isn’t he from North Carolina? Regardless, Wall hasn’t had much to root for in the Dallas Cowboys. Having said that, the Cowboys are still leading the NFC East (least?) with a 2-4 record.

As disrespectful as it was for John Wall to play spades during an interview on live tv, I have to admit, it was pretty hilarious. Shoutout to Field Yates for being a true professional and not breaking, even when it was very clear John Wall had his sights set on other things.
