Is It Normal For An NFL Player To Have 40 Different Massage Therapists?

The Deshaun Watson allegations are in full swing.

After over 20 lawsuits have been filed on behalf of massage therapists who claim Deshaun sexually assaulted them, 18 more came out to say he never treated them with disrespect.

After so many massage therapists have been linked to Deshaun Watson, my question was…is this normal? It must be weird to have around 40 (and counting) different massage therapists say they’ve worked with you, right?

According to former Green Bay Packers executive Andrew Brandt, it is strange for NFL players to work with so many different masseuses.

“Making no statement on innocence/guilt of Deshaun Watson, but the number of therapists is unusual,” Brandt wrote on Twitter. “Many players get massages with standing appointments with same therapist. In Green Bay there were 2-3 that most players (and I) used. Most teams have a couple that work with them.”

Former NFL offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod was also critical of how many different massage therapists Watson has gone to throughout his career.

“No way I could have multiple therapists per game week,” Bushrod tweeted before deleting it. “They get familiarized with you, your body and know your issues and how you’re body responds to massage. I played for 12 years, I think I had half of that throughout my whole career.”

So yeah, it is a little crazy that so many massage therapists are coming through the woodworks to speak on Deshaun Watson. It definitely feel like a red flag.

We’ll see how it all plays out.
