Tim Tebow’s latest stint in the NFL is inspiring another former player. Former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs announced Thursday he wanted to get back into the league, but not as a running back. Jacobs said he wants to play defensive end for “whatever team gives me a chance.”
Clearly Tim’s switch to Tight End is giving others ideas.
Check out Jacobs tweet below:
Well since Tebow came back after being off a good bit, I am announcing today that I to will comeback. I will play defensive end for whatever team gives me a chance!!!

At first, it appeared Jacobs might be joking, but that’s not the case. Jacobs is not only “serious” about returning, he thinks he’s better suited than Tebow to make a comeback.
I am really serious about coming back as a defensive end. I can still run, I am strong and there’s no way Tim Tebow is a better athlete than I am. I just need a shot that’s it!! If I can’t cut it I’ll take it like a man. Just give me one chance that’s all!!

Jacobs won two Super Bowls with the Giants, and hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2013 season.
Jacobs’ best season came in 2008, when he rushed for 1,089 yards and 15 touchdowns.
I have a feeling no one will be giving him a tryout anytime soon.
