Emmanuel Acho Trashed Over Tweet About Calvin Ridley Throwing Games

Earlier today, it was reported that star receiver Calvin Ridley will be suspended for the entire 2022-23 season for illegally gambling on NFL games.

Shortly after the news went viral, all the Calvin Ridley hot takes were plastered all over the internet. But perhaps the most ridiculous one was the insinuation that Ridley was somehow throwing games when he was playing.

To add to some of the nonsense, FS1’s Emmanuel Acho tweeted that while it wasn’t his personal belief that Ridley was “throwing games”, some of the old clips of him avoiding contact are “damning”.

He averaged 7 catches, 107 yards, and a TD across the three games that these clips are from.

So if he was trying to throw the game, he was doing a terrible job at it.

Ridley gets bored and throws down a parlay and now guys are convinced he was short of the sticks in a 0-0 game on purpose.

Calvin Ridley quickly admitted to betting on games, but maintained that he only bet $1,500 during a short span during last season.

Additionally, it was reported that Ridley was found to have bet on the Falcons in a few different parlays, but never against his own team last season.

I think it’s safe to say that Calvin Ridley was never throwing games, and this is a pretty lame tweet from Emmanuel Acho.
