Drew Brees Has An Encouraging Message For Saints Fans

The Saints will be without their elite veteran QB, Drew Brees, for the foreseeable future. The question for Saints fans continues to be, for how long? The superstar quarterback is dealing with some pretty serious injuries. Brees reportedly has multiple rib fractures on both sides of his body, while his collapsed lung is on his right side. At 41 years old, there is no telling how long it will take Drew Brees to recover from injuries of that severity. However, Brees has an uplifting message for Saints fans regarding his injuries.

Despite his injuries, Drew Brees still has a positive mentality about his future as the New Orleans Saints quarterback this season. Brees took to Instagram to share a message for Saints fans who continue to wonder about his timeline.

“Who Dat Nation: I’ve got the best medical team in the world…will be back in no time!”, Brees captioned the Instagram post.

We all know the type of competitor Drew Brees is. If there is anyone who wants to get back out there and play, it’s him. But injuries like this take time, especially at Brees’ age. The Saints will certainly miss having Drew Brees under center, however, they have fared pretty well without him in the past. There is no guarantee that Jameis Winston will be able to replicate Teddy Bridgewater, who went 5-0 as a backup to Brees in 2019, but the schedule does look favorable for the rest of the season.
